Plague

There is a silent enemy lurking in the air. Killing the weak and leaving the strong on their knees gasping for breath.  Stay at home, wash your hands, wear a mask.

Cover your cough, don't touch your face. Sanitize.

Focus on the positive as life loops the same pattern over and over. It's ok to cry. Time is lost.

Be there for each other, but six feet apart. No comfort, no peace.

Passing masked faces in the store seems surreal as you mind your imaginary bubble waiting to pick out your cereal. Standing on your square of masking tape until your turn to cash out.

Tears just come. From time to time you focus on the reality, the new normal.

Video goodbyes to loved ones exiting this world. No touching, no hugs, no comfort.

Veiled faces don't hide the tears that cannot be wiped away. Don't touch your face.

Stay two yards apart.

It's ok to cry. We all are.
